Meet the 2021 Cohort Fellows

Francess Olisa-Ogbonnaya

Francess Olisa-Ogbonnaya hails from Ibom Arochukwu in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State.  She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nsukka, proceeded to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University and Fernwood Business College Braamfointein South Africa where she Studied Political Science and Human Resource Management respectively. 

Francess Olisa-Ogbonnaya started a career in the Customer Relations and Communications Department of CosCharis Group where she worked in the Rolls Royce Africa Department, Market Share/Analysis Department and subsequently the Ford Nigeria After Sales. She thereafter joined the CIG group, owners of GAC.

With Many Certifications in Media and Communications, she currently Works as the Head of News and Current Affairs for 98.9 Kiss FM Lagos. Francess Olisa-Ogbonnaya also founded the Mandiba Media Group, a 360 Media Production Company and the owners of the 21st Century Igbo Lifestyle Tv, Orugo Tv. Her contribution to societal development includes a free yearly mentorship and training Program tagged “REDISCOVER YOURSELF MEDIA TRAINING” that trains over 100 youths yearly.

Our mission is fulfilled through behavioural change communications; skills development, human capital mobilization and campaign financing, with an end-goal to enable capable women competitively Decide, Run and Win elections. We are on a mission to empower 1000 women to run for office and directly back '35' women by 2023.
