Meet the 2021 Cohort Fellows

Simi Olusola

Simi Olusola is a t-shaped entrepreneur passionate about Africa and committed to doing the hard things to build a great continent. You’ll find her working in the intersections of young people, technology, entrepreneurship, governance and politics.  She is the Founder and CEO of Aspilos Foundation, a youth led non-profit using technology & digital inclusion to drive economic growth and good governance in Nigeria.   She is also the Programme Manager, Software Engineering at ALX Africa where she is working with the larger team to build 3M leaders in Africa by 2035. Along with her co-director, Simi Olusola also runs Nuach Consulting, a small and niche consulting firm that provides high level solutions in the areas of Strategy, Process Management, Organisation Development and Project Management. She is a lifelong volunteer with a passion for societal development.

Simi Olusola has a B.Sc in Physiology from the University of Ibadan, a certificate in Social Sector Management from the Pan Atlantic University and has a MicroMasters in Data, Economics and Development policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  She is a 2020 Acumen West Africa Fellow, a Strategy Advisor for TechHer NG, a 2019 fellow of the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative, a 2016 LEAP Africa Social Innovators Program fellow, a 2017 member of the Young African Leadership Initiative RLC West Africa and an International Citizen Service volunteer.

ElectHER is a non-partisan progressive women's political advancement organization bridging inequality gaps in African democracy, by advocating for and enabling women's leadership across appointive and elective office. Our mission is fulfilled through behavioural change communications; skills development, human capital mobilization and campaign financing, with an end-goal to enable capable women competitively Decide, Run and Win elections. We are on a mission to empower 1000 women to run for office and directly back '35' women by 2023.
