Olaboopo Olubukola Rianat

Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo is a Lawyer, Gender Activist, Youth Leadership &Good Governance Advocate.  She holds a Master of Laws Degree from the University of Ibadan. She studied Mass Communication at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State. At present, she pursues a Ph.D in Law, International Relations & Gender Studies. She serves the State Government of Osun as the Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs.

Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo operates flourishing Chambers in Ibadan and Lagos and has a rewarding Private practice. She recently, launched The Initiative for Humanity Matters, a non-government organisation which does Youth Mentorship, Advocacy on women and children related issues, supports to vulnerable women and under privileged children, trainings & empowerments.

Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo is a recipient of many reputable awards including the 2019 leading 100 Most Distinguished African Young Leaders in the Royal African Youth Leadership Award, a conferment bestowed on her by the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Nigeria. She was recently awarded the Best Commissioner for Women &Children Affairs in South West, Nigeria.

ElectHER is a non-partisan progressive women's political advancement organization bridging inequality gaps in African democracy, by advocating for and enabling women's leadership across appointive and elective office. Our mission is fulfilled through behavioural change communications; skills development, human capital mobilization and campaign financing, with an end-goal to enable capable women competitively Decide, Run and Win elections. We are on a mission to empower 1000 women to run for office and directly back '35' women by 2023.
